The Roads We Choose

It has been longer than a fortnight, but it has probably been worth it because I was still in a state of half shock half wonderment and I can still feel the weight like a giant burden of responsibility strapped on my back, I don't think physically my 6'1' 155 stature could hold this immense weight, spiritually am trudging my feet but am glad I made it today . I feel like shouting, I feel like dancing without music playing, I feel like running fast without feeling the wind rush by me, I just feel like speaking to you in 10 languages at once and have you understand me without me translating! Good Heavens I feel good! I hope you don't think I've gone "coo coo".
2 months as we sat down in the game room, Sarah Magrady was watching some of those shows that I really never watched, I was on the laptop scripting lyrics to a song I wanted to go record later the next day. She then asked me a question that I took time to think about before I answered her back, but at the moment she thought that I had ignored her. The question was; "What do you think am really good at"? The reason why I froze in context was because I didn't want to bluntly say what came up to my mind first! "Humanitarian". Then I thought of the list of things that I knew she would pursue that were right at hand "A great Writer" an Author, now remember at this time I was in thought but my response didn't come too soon and she thought I simply ignored her to avoid the "procrastination" conversation that we had had a couple days before.... Ohhh snap it was going to be a war of words, well she flipped through the channels and checked her DVR for recorded shows including "All My Children" , Big Love, then she decided to watch "Daddy's Girls" by Rev Run, see I never watched Run's house but I always watched the ending close" where Rev simply leaves words of wisdom before the show ends... "That is my favorite part of the show" I would skip the rest of the stuff ...but that part I could rewind just to tap into that zone. Now back to the argument that was about to erupt, I simply said "I think you are a humanitarian and a great writer" explore those potentials and you will surely find out that that is the truth about what you are really good at! Remember she wasn't talking before I answered her she was flipping through channels grumbling to her self about how I was ignoring her and how I cared less, SHE STOPPED! And said ''are you serious"? And i emphasized ..."YOU SHOULD FINISH WRITING YOUR BOOK" more so start a project that gives you the ability to help people because that is who you are, you can't hide that fact and you can't run away from the truths about you. wow...did I save a on coming argument with speaking my heart...phew..."am not good at arguments" I simply try to use one phrase or sentence and let you decide if am right or you are wrong!
The road you choose in this twisted journey of life could have lots of toils and snares, but at the end of it all we do not really choose these destinies ourselves there is a guideline, from God we receive so many gifts and chances to redeem and explore every possibility, without the physical there will be mental intellect, without mental there will be spiritual, without spiritual there will be emotional intellect, it keeps going on and on.. what am saying is "In this life the road you choose is yours to decide whether to walk on it or it will walk you.."

Through The Trying Times

Today I would like to take a moment to appreciate love as the greatest gift of all, but yet Life trickles through the forces of nature at the cost of God's will. I can't express how hard the past couple months have been but I hold on to the remaining threads of hope to see brighter days a head, it takes faith, patience and believing to keep everyone strong. You could travel the world to escape current pain but without the Almighty, family and friends to walk the world with you all is left is just "You". Some of the most amazing things I learned from Sarah were simply accepting that the power of co-ordinating and networking is a basic incentive to succeeding in today's dynamic world. I usually never speak until i'm spoken to and that takes patience, the silent warrior in me that wins the battle with golden silence.. I will slowly but surely learn to open up.
As the year winds down, tis be the season that brings together families, friends and people from all walks of life to rejoice in a tremendous form of sharing and giving. I don't know what you are going to give but I know for a fact that Sarah was planning to give only to the kids this year,
to Heather's baby Ashleigh, Dianne's kids Adriana, Tony, Chris, Tim's Kids,Felix's kids, Coco's kids, Jason's kids, phew I could go on and on the list is huge , Sarah did not only give during holidays she gave throughout the entire year, to friends, family and strangers like me.. I will give you a perfect example that shocked me! She watched the movie "7 Pounds" and it touched her so much that she bought a bunch of 7 pounds DVDs and gave them out to "whoever" ...did you catch it..? I said "WHOEVER" she met. If you haven't watched this movie I suggest you do! I know you are going to ask yourself "hmmm I wonder if he watched it"? Yes I DID! It's one of those movies that leaves you perplexed in wonderment asking .."Am I capable of sacrificing my life so that another person lives?" Even bodyguards duck when shots go off! or rather wear bullet proof to take one"
Through these trying times I would like to thank all friends of Sarah Magrady one and all, readers of her blog and all those that have been a revolving force filled with love , joy and harmony with Sarah's Family to help them get through their loss and hardship.
In memory of Sarah, a children's Fund in her names is a project being looked into, anyone who has a perspective and fundamentals of procedures to this project to lift off please email in your suggestions through her face book account. Search your face book for Sarah Magrady.
I wish you the best in all you do, let your endeavors and efforts reach their destinations with God Speed. Have a blessed week! Check out the next blog in a Fortnight.

On Friday Nov-13-2009 Sarah Anne Magrady was drafting a note via blackberry in form of an email reaching out through "Ellen" to have an important message delivered to "Rev Run" Joseph Simmons wishing him a happy Birthday for Saturday Nov-14th-2009 with more to it if you take time to read it. we don't know whether she actually sent it before she went to sleep because after we discovered it, it wasn't saved or sent yet..! It was the first thing that popped up on the blackberry screen while Ms Heather and I were asked by Ms Lynn "Sarah's Mother" to find her Doctor's phone number. The Truth Hurts, Sarah Anne Magrady Passed away Early Morning Nov-14-2009. Heather saved the drafted message and I sent it to its destination the "Diamond Empowerment Fund" D.E.F whose mission is of supporting education initiatives that develop and empower thos most disadvantaged in Afric an nations where diamonds are a natural resource, the organization will look to fund projects that have proven success inproviding African youth with high-quality educational experiences, including skill-building and vocational training initiatives. This is what Sarah Magrady was about, these are the type of projects that inspired her, giving , reaching out, providing to those in need, I could go on and on telling you what humanitarian she was in all her endeavors.
Dear Family and Friends, guests and readers from all walks of life here below are theLast of Sarah Anne Magrady's words . She hadn't written a blog for Friday Nov-13-2009. Therefore This note was it.
"I want you to pass this message to Joseph simmons rev. Very Important!"
Hi helen! Would you please pass this message on to Tell him tomorrow Happy Birthday! The best gift I could give him is to get a page on Facebook and same with Justine. They will see stories and be able to see things, network and socialize from a laptop! It can be informative, a hand reaching out and inspiring! If he doesn't have one, then I on Disability will use the money given to me, for my christmas gift make a sacrifice and buy him one. I remember the story from when I was a little girl in a catholic school about in the Bible were there was a rich person giving money, yet a poor person giving almost everything. I remember how The Lord said it is those who were wealthy and give a lot vs. Those who were poor and gave almost everything that the poor were more humble and gave praise. The Lord was so pleased with the poor but the rich man gave a little and gave the pennies. It is time for them to see what wonderful people are out there and he can set up things there and links as well. Facebook to me is wonderful and i think he and justine will see how big and wonderful people are. I please ask you to him for this Pass it on! Thank you, good luck an I hope you get your moment to shine!
Sarah Magrady.

Noveber12,2009 "Good Afternoon This Is Your Wake Up Call!"

Good Afternoon! I hope everyones day is going well! Yes I thought I would Chime in and do a little wake up call! I do my best to help my friend who is a single mother, take in people who need help, always reach out to those who need help, but frankly it is time for you and all of us to come together and start doing more! I mentioned Family Focus as as a charity that helps families. Perfect because it starts at home. Then we go into schools and the community. So were do we start? That is when we put our heads together and figure it out. I know too many people that have a lot to offer and can help put something together. It is a matter of putting a plan together another organization. I am calling upon people to help me. Russell, I think it is time. Ryan of course, same with Candace, Tiger, and everyone else who has the power to lead. You all have it, Tiger you have the Tiger Woods Foundation that helps children. Lets blow it up out of the water. Because if I could put together a children's Foundation it would be very similar! Rev I call upon you. Your son Russell put you in check! Ha Ha! I was watching of course one of my favorite all American families Run's House on MTV2 Marathon and Russell was going to kick you off the board Rush Philanthropy until you contributed more. You know what I would do for a seat on a major foundation board like Rush Philanthropy. You ended up buying some more air miles and then they donated more air miles. Russell said that was a good start. However, your son said what about selling your Phantom Bently! You looked at him like he was crazy. A car is a depreciating asset, and I honestly myself would do it in a heartbeat. I love Honda! Get a nice SUV or Accord! There nice ride smooth or a nice BMW. It's a car! A toy it is that dispensable! We are talking about making a difference in this world. From the birth of child and then into man and a lady that will lead in this next Generation.

I often post articles on my facebook site from Russell and others. There is so much out there we are so unaware of. But things do need to change and we cannot sit anymore. A 1 year old child was killed in a drive by shooting. A gang rape, along with children found living in filth. The children fighting angry hurting kids, bulling at school! There is so much anger. We must step in. It first comes in with answering the phone when someone is need. Opening a door for someone, being the first to say hello, presenting a good role model to the children around you. Who are you when you wake up in the morning and go to bed at night. When you look in the mirror to brush your teeth, shave or do your hair. Who are you!!!! It is a wake up call, I have learned on my 28 years here on Earth, life is short and we do need to make it count. We all have our crosses to bare, however having a purpose helped me fight for my life and come through. It helped me get through the hard times. There is never a waste of time. Plant seeds in a child's mind. Help that friend or relative that needs you. Don't turn your head anymore. I know you have your problems, we all do. I know all too well, that could be your child, niece, grandaughter, daughter, cousin that was killed in a drive by. Tragedy surrounds us everyday.

No more laugh, be kind and so and so! It is what are you going to do today? Hey are you in? E-mail me, write on my wall, share ideas, thoughts. That is why I did this blog. It is now open for anyone to make comments. I changed up my profile a bit and we are moving forward. I tell you what my cousin died tragically along with other loved ones. But I tell you one thing he will not be forgotten either. Tom Dodson will be remembered and I will make sure of that. I will make sure that I do my best everyday and I will continue to bring people together, be that bridge and work towards making this world a better place. I watched America come together cry, and yearn for change. So lets get working! Keep going, enjoy your day, put your happy face on along with that football in your hand or in my case my koosh ball that helps me think of ideas and lets get together to the drawing board! Believe and now it is time to lead!

Love,
Sarah

Noveber12,2009 "Good Night for Me!"

Good Morning! Yes it is Good Night for me! It was a wonderful day with my favorite little person. Her curiosity and intelligence blow me away! She looked so cute! We got some cute waves! We hit the Dupage Children's Museum and she loved it! She didn't want to leave! It was a wonderful thing. Then we hit Target. Yes the Christmas shopping has started already. I have to say I don't think I am going out this year on Black Friday! I know hard for me to say, but I just don't have yet to get in the groove! I got off to a good start and we're doing really well. Well I am more excited in remembering that the Birth of Chirst and remembering the sacrifices he made for all of us. For me it is the kids! Decorating, watching Christmas movies, cookies and things like that. Last year was just nuts. I am still not over it.

Well it feels great to see a smile on a child's face we had a great time and even brought home touchable bubbles. Very fun! Well I hope everyone remembers that it is not all in gifts, and is also in giving time, and being creative. Put a little love into what you do. That really makes it special. Well I am off to get some sleep then a lot of appointments. I hope everyone has a great day! Find that passion, that gives you that energy, that feel good feeling! Laugh, enjoy and believe because God and Jesus is with us all. If there is anything going on just shout out and speak from your heart! Have Faith!

Love,
Sarah

november 10, 2009 "Holidays are on there way"

Good Morning! Yes the holidays are on the way! Thanksgiving, which to me is the shopping marathon. I am not a Thanksgiving person. Christmas. Well Christmas, I am so burnt from last Christmas, I can barely walk past wrapping paper with out growling! It was so crazy, here there and everywhere. My niece and nephew on my Dad's side were in Texas and they got there stuff on Easter literally! I was so sick of wrapping, I couldn't handle it. This year I cut it to just kids. Just family kids. No adults. I also do my mom's shopping so I have that as well. It just gets too nuts. We lose the value of Christmas and the value of Christ being born. I would much rather everyone decorate the tree, then watch Christmas movies, things like that. Bake cookies. It is all this work for one day, and we all run around and I just refuse this year. I am to burnt. I think it would be fun to pick a name and make a present, or do a white elephant. Wrap something you own that is funny or a joke! I think that would be great! Think about it, it is just that crazy. Maybe volunteering somewhere for an organization, stepping outside the box.

Well it is Tuesday and the day is moving slow, I must get up and get moving, thank the Lord for Diet Coke! I am addicted! I was doing so good then I started again. Like a can a day, instead of a can a month. Details. Well I hope everyone gets a chance to reflect and enjoy. I think we become accustomed to always doing things a certain way and I think if we cut back it would be less stressful and more enjoyable. Think how many times we think simpler is better! Things we can be thinking about as the holidays approach and everyone is talking. Well I hope everyone has a great day, enjoy, love and be kind!

Love,
Sarah

November 9, 2009 Good Morning "A New Day"

Good Morning! Well the Lord was good! Here we are another day and another opportunity. I have been up burning the midnight oil. Some stories need to be heard. I was taught the meaning of life at a very young age and for that is a blessing. I heard that right now Dallas on the Rocks is auctioning off a date with Russell Simmons, to sit at the VIP table. I think you have to be quick, time is running out! It all goes to the Diamond Empowerment Fund. Again a great organization Another organization is Rushphilanthropic.org. Which I caught some re-run's of Run's House and one was when Russell threatened to kick Rev off the Board!! I love it! When Russell brings Rev into his office! See Russell wouldn't want me as his date because I would be talking about another organization that needs to be established that people, everyday people can contribute to. It is the little money that can add up. You don't necessarily need people to donate thousands, we can make a difference with just everyday people pitching in. See he already has to listen to me send him messages, he wouldn't want me to bid on that ticket! LOL!

Speaking of Charity work Ryan Mack had posted help 1000 homeless children have a Christmas this year by donating a toys to youth that he has worked with through Living in the Village Economic Empowerment Group-Together We Can Endure. On my Facebook page there is the information. For further information please feel free to contact me. sarahmagrady@comcast.net. Great Cause Ryan! Nothing extravagant. Just simple toys! My family has eliminated all gift giving for adults this year and just buying for the kids. I love that idea. They are the only one's I like buying for. It relieves a lot of stress. I am so burnt from last Christmas, It was so much fun, but it was a lot of work. If you keep it simple and for the kids it makes it so much easier. Well another week is here I hope we remember how blessed we are. We all have are issues, our own crosses to burn, but living a life of selfishness will only lead us into an empty black hole. I encourage people to be understanding, forgiving and admit to there own faults as well. We all have them, I hope everyone finds some peace today. It is again a new day full of positive energy. We are our own authors. We write our own story. Have a great day, turn up the music, smile, do something kind and love!

Love,
Sarah

Noveber 8, 2009 "Friendships are under constant tests"

Good Night! Well it has been a long day, along with a very long week. I put "friendships are under constant tests" because that is the story of the past week. While I have been sick, it has been rough. I am only one person but I try to do the best I can. I am great friend, I listen, I am generous and I would do anything for you. However, you can't have a friendship by yourself. When you have had a hard time and your friend says "Catch ya later" in some sort of way, are they really your friend? Some friends mistake anger for disappointment. They may not know why I want to do something. Well don't laugh and say sure, and then I have a bad week and say sorry I already did it. I have been taken advantage of before, I have been used just for people's own benefits. They may not notice it, but when I bring it to your attention, don't tell me that I make you feel like shit. Because If I mention it to you, then it has gone beyond making me feel like shit. If you don't care what you have done to that person, that friend, then you are not that person's friend. If all you care about is yourself and your feelings, than don't lie to yourself, you were never friends.

It was a rough week, I had some that stood by me, some that have helped me. Being sick and just the everyday life issue's are rough for us all. I try my best to help all in need. To be the best daughter, best friend, the best person I can. I may not always succeed, but at least I try. I make mistakes just like everyone else, for that I am sorry. I try to tell people my feelings and people get angered. When it is the truth. Well like I always say, tomorrow is another day, a blank slate, we don't have to be the people we were today. Everyday is a new adventure and you never know what your going to wake up too. I refuse to fight with people. I refuse to be stepped on. I say how I feel, because I want a happy life. I hope everyone has a great evening, enjoy each other, hold on to those who are real, those that make us happy and tomorrow if the Good Lord lets us, we will meet again in the morning.

Love,
Sarah

Noveber 8,2009 "I'm Back!"

Good Morning! I'm back! No Swine Flu for me! LOL! It was a rough week but I am doing much better. I was down for the count. So much I have missed out on, so much I must catch up on. My Asthma is acting up we will see if I can make it to the gym. However, if I don't go first thing sometimes, I tend not to go. Life is moving fast and there is no time to fall behind.

It is hard when you don't have support from your friends. People you thought were your friends that really seem not to be. I look back and regret things and really I realize it is all just a learning experience. There are days we dream of starting over in a new place with new people. Except my mother and father who I love dearly. You go out of your way to help people for what? To be a good person, a person that serves God. I do my best to give, love, and live his word. Do I make mistakes yep at least 12 a day. No one is perfect, yet we seek perfection. I feel as though everyone has to bring everyone down instead of working together as a team. I don't know how to hate, but when people turn against you and no one sticks up for you, it makes you look at things in a whole new light. I am learning more and more to be careful and to pull away and detach from others. That like Russell says is one step in being successful. So I hope everyone had a great weekend, It was beautiful outside. Enjoy, be happy, smile and let the music heal!

Love,
Sarah

November 4,2009 "Distracted"

Good Morning! I hope everyone has been doing well! I checked my facebook and it seemed like everyone is doing great. I thought I would get in early since I have my favorite little person today. Sorry I have been distracted this week and haven't had a chance to get to my "Good Mornings." My mom and I were having a conversation and she said something about certain family members not liking me being so open, and that's why they don't speak to me or are short with me. Well I am an open person. I believe by being open that is how we learn. If we didn't share ideas, memories, things that happen how would we learn. Let tell you how much that hurt. You want nothing more than you're family's support. It is what it is. This for me brings me joy and helps me keep track of what's going on in my crazy life. I know Christmas is coming and I will be posting some charities, however there are many organizations out there like toys for tots and other things as well. I know Ryan Mack has put something together and I will share that with you as well.

Well again I hope all is well, it is a busy week with the Walter Payton foundation fundraiser and other things going on, I will be in and out. I you all have a great day make sure to do something kind and something random!

Love,
Sarah

October 30, 2009 "Taking a Deeper Look"

Good Morning! Wow what a week! This week I took a deeper look at my life and seeing what direction I am heading. Although we can plan it is up to the Lord where I end up. However, trying to make decisions on certain things at times were difficult I got through it. We had a wonderful motivational video, thanks Beth, that touched everyone. A father's love for his son and a heartwarming story that lead to tears. It was amazing. I had my 'If you could choose a career for me," which I found enlightening.

Yesterday I posted a music video by Martina McBride called God's Will. It is sad no doubt. I cried to that video for years and then I found the true meaning of that video. Children teach us things everyday. The Lord puts people in our lives for a reason. You take the negative or take the positive. She was a woman just like me, been "Wounded, Jaded, Loved and Hated until she found God's Will. He lived selflessly and new God and loved. Something any parent would want. He changed her life. While sad, things happen in life and we learn from them, we can cry or take something away from that experience.

I believe in God and I believe in the power of prayer. It has changed my life. There is no doubt about that. Some understand it and some don't and that's ok. I am still learning everyday like the rest of us, making mistakes like the rest of us, and I am no saint. I try to do my best everyday to help those in need and live selflessly. I just hope that I do leave that mark on the world. I am going to leave with a scripture I found. "...I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have the power....to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ...." Ephesians 3:17.18 With that being said I hope everyone has a safe weekend, do something kind and of course something random. I just published " Life Is A Cup Of Coffee on Facebook. Very Inspirational! Have a great day!

Sarah

October 29th, 2009 "A Better Day Is Coming"

Good Morning! Yes for those on the west coast it is still night but here in midwest it is almost 1am. It has been a long day. I had my favorite little person today wasn't feeling well and neither was I. So we watched movies slept and went to the store. Not the most productive or what was planned. She is asleep now on her 2nd sleep over and has to get up for preschool in the morning. I realized I am more and more like Kate Gosselin. I sat there and went through what she was going to were, matched everything to a "T" and then pulled out the gallon size hair bows and her black Mary Janes.

I had a couple of things I really needed to do that I didn't get to do so it set me back. I give it up to all the single mothers out there. I am exhausted. I am waiting on the last load of laundry and I knew I wouldn't have time in the morning to write because I have to get up and get Ashleigh ready and off to the gym I go. From there on it is everything I didn't get to today. I can only imagine the stress of working single mothers. So in hope I pray that tomorrow I have the energy to attack all the tasks that need to be done and come home with a smile on my face and a sense of accomplishment. I think that is the main things people really need to feel fulfilled other than having the Lord in there life, is a sense of purpose and accomplishment. With out those we become lost. Well I leave you all to have a great day, remember to take time out for you and enjoy the little things in life and cherish the moments!

Love,
Sarah

Painkiller Hotel Oh Yeah!

Yes another good morning, there is so much going on to write about now, it is hard to put things into one blog! Painkiller Hotel is a group that is a rock/alternative/pop group, at least that is how I would characterize it. They will be playing at Bally Doyal this Friday Night, come in costume 28 W New York St. in Aurora. It starts at 9 pm! If you wear a costume you get entered in a drawing for a free autographed guitar from PKH! 21+ and it's a free event. I am going and want everyone to come and join me. If you are in chicago take the train and I will pick you up! Fun Times to be had. (Oh yeah and it is on the same street as the Casino!)

The other great news as of today you can purchase Painkiller Hotel CD's through out the Chicagoland area at Best buy and at some select Borders! I highly suggest getting one. Great music and great people. Lets all go out and have some fun! Eat, Drink and be Merry! Have a great day!

October 27, 2009 "My Confessions"

Good Morning! Happy Birthday Laura!! You think I would let that one pass! A wonderful woman who deserves all God's blessings! Much love to you my friend. Enjoy your day! May I say yesterday was the best day for me on Facebook! Thank You Beth for sharing that wonderfully inspiring video. It made my day. I posted a profile question what occupation would you see me best at. The responses were very eye opening. We are our worst critics. I got mostly Journalist/writer, one CEO, couple Nurses, Event Planner working with senior citizens and children because of my patience and being able to communicate well. Another Event Planner something in fashion (I like that one.) Then came the one from my friend who happens to be my old boss, Heather she said "you have so much to give. I would say your occupation would have to be something with children. You watch Ashleigh for me 1 x a week and you are amazing at it. You have plenty of guidance with her, I couldn't ask for anything more. You are a wonderful person and it shows in everything you do. No matter what occupation or were you end up I know you would bring something to it that opens so many peoples' eyes." Wow thank you Heather I am flattered and I love the fact you trust me with your daughter. Your a great mom as well!

Truth is for those who don't know by now, I had plastic surgery after losing a lot of weight and got sick. With my health still fragile, meaning, I need to stay at a steady pace which is hard for me, because I like the fast pace and I want to do everything, I am now looking at getting back into work. I do what I can for people when I can. I am very generous and giving. I would love to write like this everyday and get paid. I love to inspire people, write, interact with people and I love children.

The one occupation that I hide from and my confession is that I have always wanted to be is a wife and a mother. I took myself off all my medications for two full weeks, it was hard, but having a good supporting husband I could do it. I would love to write and I am writing as well. But, to see that people actually read what I write was wonderful. Actually right now my dream job is to write and work along side of my friend Kate Boggiano. or Aka Kate Coxworth. I love fashion now because of her and Kristen and could write on the side. Yes I love the fashion industry, or I would love to be a part-time Nanny. I love children. It's not being a doctor or a lawyer but it is who I am. I have a good work ethic and I love to build things and watch them be accomplished as well. If you don't have facebook, I urge you to get one. If you don't want your name to be known, go under another name. It is a great networking tool. We share ideas, dovetail things, meet people all over the world. To me that is great. One thing is for sure I want to leave this world knowing I made a difference in someone's life and I left a stamp on the world! I urge everyone who is out of work, or even disabled, volunteer help someone, it gives you such purpose. I have to say by helping people and a wonderful medical team, it has gotten me to were I am today. Do I still have bad days yes, but I really don't mention them. I remember looking at wall paper thinking it was going to be the last thing I was going to see before I die. So in comparison, I am blessed! Have a great day! Enjoy, and do something wonderful and random!

Love,
Sarah

October 26, 2009 "Teamwork"

Good Morning! Teamwork, is foundation of many successful things such as, businesses, households, sport's teams and many other projects. I have a cube that sets next to me that reads "Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results." If we take a second and reflect on that, we realize how true that is.

Foundations I would like to again recognize are D.E.F. (Diamond Empowerment Foundation) which is "a non-profit international organization with the mission to raise money to support education initiatives that develop and empower economically disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource." Right now they are getting ready for a big event, Dallas on the Rocks, which you can find more about if you go to www.diamondempowerment.org. It will also lead you to the green bracelet which you can purchase which is another way to help as well. I thought at first they were really expensive. They are a $125 plus shipping and handling, but make good gifts and go towards a great cause.

A new foundation that I found which I am quite impressed with is the Tiger Woods foundation.
The foundation is geared towards helping children and being that helping hand. There goal is "achieving goals and reaching dreams in there nationwide character development program." They have a Tiger Woods learning center, they also offer grants and scholarships. It is truly an amazing foundation. If I could put a foundation together honestly, this is the foundation I would put together. I always made a promise in my life not to turn my head to a child in need. That is exactly what he is doing. Excellent job! You can go to www.tigerwoodsfoundation.org for more details, I urge everyone to do so! Very impressive!

Well I hope everyone has a great day! Smile, love and be kind. Again try something random! I have spoke about getting involved in something, whether it is helping a neighbor or an organization or even a friend in need. We are such a selfish society and we really do have so much to give, even if we don't think we do. All those that are unemployed, go volunteer. Have a great day!

Love,
Sarah

October 23, 2009 "Sorting out your friends"

Good Evening! There comes a time when it is time to sort out your friends. A friendship takes two people meeting both ways. The phone works both ways. We all live busy lives, and some weeks are crazy, but we know who are real and true. I know I am so kind hearted, I have been taken advantage of many times. However it is time to cut the cord. I deserve good friends that appreciate me and who want to be around me. Those who don't , I am not going to bat for. It is a new conclusion I have come to, that I think in turn it will make me a happier person. I encourage everyone to do the same, really evaluate your friends. We all know friends are the family we make along the way! Have a great day!

Love,
Sarah

October 22,2009 "Encore"

Yes the encore! Music Does Heal! Some may not quite understand why I chose to put up music lyrics this week but it dawned on me. Music is so powerful. The melody, the words. Everyone likes music! Whether it is instrumental, R & B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, Country, blue grass, they all have a statement. I saw a friend wearing a shirt that says music heals! It's interesting because people will be like oh that's country I don't listen to that, without even knowing what it is about.

Music does heal! It makes us dance, laugh, and make great memories, the things that really matter. We all have a favorite song, or a song that brings back those memories. It comforts us when were sad, relaxes us when were tense. It is an art. I am eclectic, I enjoy feeling. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the rhythm or the melody we don't actually listen to the words. Words are powerful. People make assumptions not even knowing. I don't know much about the music industry other than I have a musical genius that is my friend. Blaq Fuego singer/songwriter.

These past 5 years have been quite a journey. The past year even more so. I figured out who I am. What I like, what I want. Who cares what people think of you, or trying to live up to being number one! Because at the end of the day all that matters is that your happy. I believe in love. Lust is a truly powerful thing, but once your grounded within your self you will know when you find love. Love has nothing to do with material objects, money or looks. It's how that person makes you feel. I say I know I am in love when all I care about is a shack food and water and the man that I love.

I watch our society struggle on materialism, seriously just melting down. So busy trying to keep up appearances. I am the first to say I love nice things. However, they are just things, you have to be willing to drop those things at any moment and not base your life around that. Huge problem. We need to come together, reach out to one another, because truly we have so much in common. Be true to yourself. Be honest to yourself. Music is another way of helping cope with that. I did some editing on my profile with my blog. I believe in doing good for others. I believe in good people helping other good people. One day I felt the holy spirit within me, it has never left. I find calmness and understanding when I read the bible or even from reading Buddhist prayers. We fight about religion and race when all that matters is humanity. Stop pointing fingers, and stop being afraid of other religions because most of them add up to the same thing, doing good for others and humanity. Things can happen, we can make them happen, if we try hard enough. Just like it took a couple dollars here and there for Barack's campaign fund, it takes just a couple minutes or an hour to make a difference in our society. It proves by that last passage it can work, it will take time, but it will come!

Well more to chat about tomorrow, I hope everyone had a great day, feel free to leave comments, you no longer have to be a user to leave a comment. Good Night! If the good Lord lets us we will meet again in the morning.

Love,
Sarah

October 22, 2009 "The Grand Finally!"

Here is the last set of three music pieces I put together. I did this for a reason. I find them empowering and motivating. I saved the best for last! I will publish an Encore blog explain the deep meaning of why I chose to do this. To some this makes sense, to others they could careless. I hope by reading my encore, people will go back and read the past weeks. We started with Lust and heartbreak and leave with Love and Empowerment !

If your out there, we can take an ordinary day and make it worth while, yes we can!

"If you hear this message wherever you stand. Calling every woman, calling every man, we're the generation that can't afford to wait the future started yesterday, we are already late. We be looking for a song to sing, search for a melody, search for someone to lead. We be looking for the world to change if you feel the same go on and say it, if your out there sing along with me....John Legend, If Your Out There

"If I had one wish I wouldn't ask for Monday, I wouldn't ask for fame. I wouldn't ask for the power to make this world to change. If I could have that one thing that one thing that I would chose, would be one more ordinary day with you...." Nick Lachey, Ordinary Day

" Yes we can, Yes we can, to opportunity to and prosperity, heal this nation and repair this world. Yes we can! Yes we Can, we know the battle ahead will be long always remember that no matter what obstacles are standing in our way nothing could stand in the middle of millions of voices calling for change, we want change, we want change we want change,.........There has never been anything false about hope.... Podcast during President Obama's election, found under Alice Klimkloski, Will I Am rings a bell with me as well! There was a video on utube.

So we started out thinking of ourselves wrapped up in unhealthy relationships, in which a majority of us have this day and age. Instead of waiting on the world to change, we asked if anyone was out there come join us. Lust is a difficult temptation. How do you define love? My friend said today, what is that you look for in a guy, I said personality and intellect. I define love as if you got rid of all material objects and forgot about what other people think and that person makes you so happy you want to laugh and spend everyday with them and look forward to seeing them, then you have found love. It's a little more complex. Then we end it with a podcast I had from U-Tube video advertising for then Barack Obama. Millions of voices can make a difference, however, like he said it is going to be a long journey, don't forget that. Change doesn't happen overnight. Music is an art. Some love the melody, and judge by Genre without knowing what the words are! I hope that got my message across. I will be publishing more about that in my Encore!

October 22, 2009 "The Light comes on"

The light begins to come in as I go through the next three songs that I find extremely inspiring. You most likely will be seeing two more blogs today as I attach this whole crazy process together. It is hard to communicate music without the lyrics, I understand, but there is a reason for my madness.

I had a voice in my head that left my page unwritten until I decided to live like I was dying!

"The war has come to pace and we lost everything we had and don't even understand who I am anymore. But the voice in my head is calling me back, is calling me back....Painkiller Hotel, Voice In My Head

"Staring at the blank page before you, open up the dirty window let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find reaching, for something in the distance so close you can almost taste it, release your inhibitions feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you only you can let no one else, no one else can speak the words on your list put yourself in words unspoken, live your life with with your arms wide open....Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten

"He said I was in my early 40's with a lot of life before me and a moment came and stopped me on a dime. I spent most of the next days looking at the x-rays talking about the options and talking about sweet time. I asked him when it sank in this may be the real in hows it hit you when you get that kind of news, man, what you do, he said, I went skydiving, I went rocky mountain Climbing, I went 2.7 seconds on a bull and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying and someday I hope you get the chance to live like your dying!" Tim McGraw Live Like your dying

All these songs are songs I love and cherish! I have a very eclectic taste. It wasn't long ago I was so sick I thought I was going to die, confined to a bed and very limited. Imagine being a high functioning person and unable to do things. People that know my story, about the weight loss, the plastic surgery and then the weight gain, and my health struggles often say "I bet you wish you never had that plastic surgery." I say "no, that surgery saved my life." I wouldn't be the person that I am today. I have struggles but I know what life is about and how precious it is. Fortunately I was in my early 20's! I am blessed.

Love,
Sarah

October 21, 2009 Good Afternoon Pretty in Pilsen

Yes, last night was Pretty in Pilsen of course! Great designers Kristen Goede of objects D' Envy that was there with her magnificent jewels. I love being covered in her jewels, they make a woman feel gorgeous! Then of course we had the fabulous Kate Baggiano with her stunning new collection which I got a sneak peak of the rain coat that I am dying to have! Her work speaks for itself! It is hard work owning your own business especially in the clothing industry but she has done very well. Still as wonderful as always! I love buying clothes and Jewelry from good people. It is about good people supporting other good people. I was introduced to another fabulous design team Crescendo Apparel. They do pants skirts and wraps. Let me tell you the wraps are fabulous! It was a great evening I helped Kate close up shop. I just saw Crescendo Apparel recently in Michigan Avenue Magazine, great magazine all with local designers and the social circle around Chicago. Chicago designers have so much to offer. Well you can find Objects D'Envy at www.objectsdenvy.com and Kate Baggiano at www.katebaggiano.com and of course Crescendo Apparel at www.crescendoapparel.com. It is fun to mix it up with wonderful local designers that have so much talent. Beautiful things that are made with good quality. Have a great day! Cheers!
