Noveber 8, 2009 "Friendships are under constant tests"

Good Night! Well it has been a long day, along with a very long week. I put "friendships are under constant tests" because that is the story of the past week. While I have been sick, it has been rough. I am only one person but I try to do the best I can. I am great friend, I listen, I am generous and I would do anything for you. However, you can't have a friendship by yourself. When you have had a hard time and your friend says "Catch ya later" in some sort of way, are they really your friend? Some friends mistake anger for disappointment. They may not know why I want to do something. Well don't laugh and say sure, and then I have a bad week and say sorry I already did it. I have been taken advantage of before, I have been used just for people's own benefits. They may not notice it, but when I bring it to your attention, don't tell me that I make you feel like shit. Because If I mention it to you, then it has gone beyond making me feel like shit. If you don't care what you have done to that person, that friend, then you are not that person's friend. If all you care about is yourself and your feelings, than don't lie to yourself, you were never friends.

It was a rough week, I had some that stood by me, some that have helped me. Being sick and just the everyday life issue's are rough for us all. I try my best to help all in need. To be the best daughter, best friend, the best person I can. I may not always succeed, but at least I try. I make mistakes just like everyone else, for that I am sorry. I try to tell people my feelings and people get angered. When it is the truth. Well like I always say, tomorrow is another day, a blank slate, we don't have to be the people we were today. Everyday is a new adventure and you never know what your going to wake up too. I refuse to fight with people. I refuse to be stepped on. I say how I feel, because I want a happy life. I hope everyone has a great evening, enjoy each other, hold on to those who are real, those that make us happy and tomorrow if the Good Lord lets us, we will meet again in the morning.

Love,
Sarah

Noveber 8,2009 "I'm Back!"

Good Morning! I'm back! No Swine Flu for me! LOL! It was a rough week but I am doing much better. I was down for the count. So much I have missed out on, so much I must catch up on. My Asthma is acting up we will see if I can make it to the gym. However, if I don't go first thing sometimes, I tend not to go. Life is moving fast and there is no time to fall behind.

It is hard when you don't have support from your friends. People you thought were your friends that really seem not to be. I look back and regret things and really I realize it is all just a learning experience. There are days we dream of starting over in a new place with new people. Except my mother and father who I love dearly. You go out of your way to help people for what? To be a good person, a person that serves God. I do my best to give, love, and live his word. Do I make mistakes yep at least 12 a day. No one is perfect, yet we seek perfection. I feel as though everyone has to bring everyone down instead of working together as a team. I don't know how to hate, but when people turn against you and no one sticks up for you, it makes you look at things in a whole new light. I am learning more and more to be careful and to pull away and detach from others. That like Russell says is one step in being successful. So I hope everyone had a great weekend, It was beautiful outside. Enjoy, be happy, smile and let the music heal!

Love,
Sarah

November 4,2009 "Distracted"

Good Morning! I hope everyone has been doing well! I checked my facebook and it seemed like everyone is doing great. I thought I would get in early since I have my favorite little person today. Sorry I have been distracted this week and haven't had a chance to get to my "Good Mornings." My mom and I were having a conversation and she said something about certain family members not liking me being so open, and that's why they don't speak to me or are short with me. Well I am an open person. I believe by being open that is how we learn. If we didn't share ideas, memories, things that happen how would we learn. Let tell you how much that hurt. You want nothing more than you're family's support. It is what it is. This for me brings me joy and helps me keep track of what's going on in my crazy life. I know Christmas is coming and I will be posting some charities, however there are many organizations out there like toys for tots and other things as well. I know Ryan Mack has put something together and I will share that with you as well.

Well again I hope all is well, it is a busy week with the Walter Payton foundation fundraiser and other things going on, I will be in and out. I you all have a great day make sure to do something kind and something random!

Love,
Sarah

October 30, 2009 "Taking a Deeper Look"

Good Morning! Wow what a week! This week I took a deeper look at my life and seeing what direction I am heading. Although we can plan it is up to the Lord where I end up. However, trying to make decisions on certain things at times were difficult I got through it. We had a wonderful motivational video, thanks Beth, that touched everyone. A father's love for his son and a heartwarming story that lead to tears. It was amazing. I had my 'If you could choose a career for me," which I found enlightening.

Yesterday I posted a music video by Martina McBride called God's Will. It is sad no doubt. I cried to that video for years and then I found the true meaning of that video. Children teach us things everyday. The Lord puts people in our lives for a reason. You take the negative or take the positive. She was a woman just like me, been "Wounded, Jaded, Loved and Hated until she found God's Will. He lived selflessly and new God and loved. Something any parent would want. He changed her life. While sad, things happen in life and we learn from them, we can cry or take something away from that experience.

I believe in God and I believe in the power of prayer. It has changed my life. There is no doubt about that. Some understand it and some don't and that's ok. I am still learning everyday like the rest of us, making mistakes like the rest of us, and I am no saint. I try to do my best everyday to help those in need and live selflessly. I just hope that I do leave that mark on the world. I am going to leave with a scripture I found. "...I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have the power....to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ...." Ephesians 3:17.18 With that being said I hope everyone has a safe weekend, do something kind and of course something random. I just published " Life Is A Cup Of Coffee on Facebook. Very Inspirational! Have a great day!

Sarah

October 29th, 2009 "A Better Day Is Coming"

Good Morning! Yes for those on the west coast it is still night but here in midwest it is almost 1am. It has been a long day. I had my favorite little person today wasn't feeling well and neither was I. So we watched movies slept and went to the store. Not the most productive or what was planned. She is asleep now on her 2nd sleep over and has to get up for preschool in the morning. I realized I am more and more like Kate Gosselin. I sat there and went through what she was going to were, matched everything to a "T" and then pulled out the gallon size hair bows and her black Mary Janes.

I had a couple of things I really needed to do that I didn't get to do so it set me back. I give it up to all the single mothers out there. I am exhausted. I am waiting on the last load of laundry and I knew I wouldn't have time in the morning to write because I have to get up and get Ashleigh ready and off to the gym I go. From there on it is everything I didn't get to today. I can only imagine the stress of working single mothers. So in hope I pray that tomorrow I have the energy to attack all the tasks that need to be done and come home with a smile on my face and a sense of accomplishment. I think that is the main things people really need to feel fulfilled other than having the Lord in there life, is a sense of purpose and accomplishment. With out those we become lost. Well I leave you all to have a great day, remember to take time out for you and enjoy the little things in life and cherish the moments!

Love,
Sarah

Painkiller Hotel Oh Yeah!

Yes another good morning, there is so much going on to write about now, it is hard to put things into one blog! Painkiller Hotel is a group that is a rock/alternative/pop group, at least that is how I would characterize it. They will be playing at Bally Doyal this Friday Night, come in costume 28 W New York St. in Aurora. It starts at 9 pm! If you wear a costume you get entered in a drawing for a free autographed guitar from PKH! 21+ and it's a free event. I am going and want everyone to come and join me. If you are in chicago take the train and I will pick you up! Fun Times to be had. (Oh yeah and it is on the same street as the Casino!)

The other great news as of today you can purchase Painkiller Hotel CD's through out the Chicagoland area at Best buy and at some select Borders! I highly suggest getting one. Great music and great people. Lets all go out and have some fun! Eat, Drink and be Merry! Have a great day!

October 27, 2009 "My Confessions"

Good Morning! Happy Birthday Laura!! You think I would let that one pass! A wonderful woman who deserves all God's blessings! Much love to you my friend. Enjoy your day! May I say yesterday was the best day for me on Facebook! Thank You Beth for sharing that wonderfully inspiring video. It made my day. I posted a profile question what occupation would you see me best at. The responses were very eye opening. We are our worst critics. I got mostly Journalist/writer, one CEO, couple Nurses, Event Planner working with senior citizens and children because of my patience and being able to communicate well. Another Event Planner something in fashion (I like that one.) Then came the one from my friend who happens to be my old boss, Heather she said "you have so much to give. I would say your occupation would have to be something with children. You watch Ashleigh for me 1 x a week and you are amazing at it. You have plenty of guidance with her, I couldn't ask for anything more. You are a wonderful person and it shows in everything you do. No matter what occupation or were you end up I know you would bring something to it that opens so many peoples' eyes." Wow thank you Heather I am flattered and I love the fact you trust me with your daughter. Your a great mom as well!

Truth is for those who don't know by now, I had plastic surgery after losing a lot of weight and got sick. With my health still fragile, meaning, I need to stay at a steady pace which is hard for me, because I like the fast pace and I want to do everything, I am now looking at getting back into work. I do what I can for people when I can. I am very generous and giving. I would love to write like this everyday and get paid. I love to inspire people, write, interact with people and I love children.

The one occupation that I hide from and my confession is that I have always wanted to be is a wife and a mother. I took myself off all my medications for two full weeks, it was hard, but having a good supporting husband I could do it. I would love to write and I am writing as well. But, to see that people actually read what I write was wonderful. Actually right now my dream job is to write and work along side of my friend Kate Boggiano. or Aka Kate Coxworth. I love fashion now because of her and Kristen and could write on the side. Yes I love the fashion industry, or I would love to be a part-time Nanny. I love children. It's not being a doctor or a lawyer but it is who I am. I have a good work ethic and I love to build things and watch them be accomplished as well. If you don't have facebook, I urge you to get one. If you don't want your name to be known, go under another name. It is a great networking tool. We share ideas, dovetail things, meet people all over the world. To me that is great. One thing is for sure I want to leave this world knowing I made a difference in someone's life and I left a stamp on the world! I urge everyone who is out of work, or even disabled, volunteer help someone, it gives you such purpose. I have to say by helping people and a wonderful medical team, it has gotten me to were I am today. Do I still have bad days yes, but I really don't mention them. I remember looking at wall paper thinking it was going to be the last thing I was going to see before I die. So in comparison, I am blessed! Have a great day! Enjoy, and do something wonderful and random!

Love,
Sarah
